Went to the tropical island paradise of Pheu Quoc, flew there in a small plane. Saw the island pass by out the window and wondered what the pilot was doing then he suddenly lurched to the left and banked like a dive bomber we dropped thousands of feet, it was a stupid amount of fun.
Even better there was a guy waiting at the airport with my name on a card, I've never had that before!!

Joanna brought holy bread shipped all the way from Poland to get us in the Christmas spirit on Christmas eve.

Eoin's table manners have have actually improved in the last few years.

We stayed at his mental hotel where the staff would ring you at 08:00am and start shouting at you in Vietnamese for three minutes and then hang up. The best example of their madness/stupidity was when Cailín on our first day there went off to ensure that they had us booked in over Christmas because although I had sent them about ten emails during the previous two weeks and received replies to all of them, when we arrived there was no record of us booking and only one person spoke any English and he was an idiot, so off Cailín went to talk to them only to return to me in a state of confusion/panic "Rob I don't now what they are talkin' about, I asked them about the booking and now they are saying weird shit I don't understand!"......now Cailín isn't the best at understanding strange accents so I naturally assumed it was a minor problem related to this, I got up and followed her only to find the hotel staff demanding that Eoina dn Joanna be woken up immediatley (10pm) and moved to a different room?!! What had happened in the intervening between Cailín leaving my room and returning I will never know, perhaps they though she was insulting their ancestors, sufficed to say they were mad.
Christmas morning started traditionally by me waking everyone and forcing them to dress like Santa Claus using only what they can find in their room.

Cailín gets bonus points for using a pair of Penny's knickers and some cotton wool and Vasoline for her beard.

Many presents were given.

Check out my kick ass "Flipper"esque snorkeling mask. Jealous!!

The family visited.

Plus they sent Tayto's!!!

made me very happy.

Then came Christmas dinner, we had saved a bottle of 7up for the occasion but Eoin used it as mixer in a moment of weakness,

So we got Champagne instead,

Then we went to the beach,

Then I ruined it by getting the moped stuck in the sand,
