Salmento

Went to a small town in Colombia in the Zona Cafeteria where we visited a coffee farm.

Run by our hostel owner and English chap,Not sure but I think he ate all the coffee and is fermenting it in his belly like that super expensive bat poo coffee.

Banana's and other fruit are planted with the coffee to give the coffee shade.

They dry the coffee on their roof, the roof slides away in quite a cool way.
Coffee,

Beer

Sebastian went for a three day hike in the mountains, officially guerilla territory, the hostel owner filled their heads with stories of rebels and princesses and evil emperors and sent them on their way.
the stories it would seem had more of an effect on me than Sebastian. That night while Sebastian was off in the mountains I was woken at 3am by loud explosions coming from the mountains, "That's the end of Sebastian anyway, poor bastard" I thought, turns out it was fireworks.

Pre-trek,

Post-trek

We went for a day hike up a lovely valley with a humming bird sanctuary at the top of it.

Tried to keep Cailín entertained with some anecdotes,

She was very brave and crossed loads of logs and rope bridges spanning a raging river.

It didn't help that I was jumping up and down on them.

The hummingbird sanctuary

Back in town discovered Colombians are partial to banana with their soup!?
And Cailín discovered the motherload!!!

Wait for it...
